I'm curious about the etching that's left as a result of a bore/replate job.
The top of the cylinder (head surface) is etched something awful!!
I understand that etching is part of the replate process, but I don't understand why the head/cylinder surface isn't protected during that process.
Looks like it's been used for skeet practice!
Any other riders have replating work with a different experience?
