We are planning on racing it on the 3rd. It's a regional AX (not a national). Anyone else planning on racing it or coming out to watch?

We'll probably skip the Springfield race, but we plan on going to Milwaukee the following weekend to watch the big boys. We're really hoping Hofmaster can pull of a win.

Are you going to race the regional evening races Friday and Saturday night in Springfield? If so, what class(s) are you going to run? I wish you and your crew the best of luck!!:) :)

I haven't decided on a class yet - probably 125 novice. Everyone sandbaggs real bad at AX races though, so we'll see. It'll be my first ever AX race - every time I have tried to race an AX my bike (or me) ends up in pieces before the race.

Combat - great to hear you're a Hofmaster fan! I'm still hoping Tommy can move up a few spots before the AX season is over (he's currently in 4th - with a good lead over 5th)

nikki - I hear ya. Tommy's really stepped it up each year for the past 3 years. It has to be just a matter of time before someone recognizes this and signs him on at least a support team. He has the potential, we'll see if he's given the chance.:D

First time AX Huh. I was lucky enough to survive my first attempt at Arenacross, but that was probably because everyone was crashing around me and we weren't able to jump anything. :) I wouldn't mind trying it again someday, but I'll have to build my own practice track. They only give you about 3 or 4 laps of practice. That's not near enough to learn such a tight track. Good Luck and stay healthy! Spring is coming, and we'll be able to ride outside again soon.:)

Hey Nikki

I'll be there Friday night watching. Good luck, whatever night it is you decide to race. What is your number? (so I'll know who to root for) I see you raced in N IL at Sunset, then SE IL Casey. Have you ever been to the middle, Wapella? I do the web site there (and my son and I both race there and elsewere. www.us51mx.com

Can't wait for the St Louis SX, and man was I stoked when I listened on the web to LaRocco win!

Once again, good luck. Just have fun your first time out!

Hey, I was there!

I was checking Nikki's pic page and saw the one of her, Ernie and Jimmy Button. I saw them in the first corner on that golf cart in 99 (hotter'n hell!) and talked to them myself! I was also at that same spot in 01 with my whole family and we froze. In July! We were all sitting on the bleachers by LaRocco's Leap on Saturday in 01 watching the pros practice when RC did that no footed can can that was in RacerX. We all looked up and nobody said a word for about 2 seconds, we were stunned!
