I am sure all have hotels within walking distance but be prepared to pay top dollar. As far as cabs remember there are over 35,000 people leaving at once and it gets awfully crowded outside. Maybe post for a local DRN'er once you decide which you are going to. They may be able to steer you to a place on their way in and for parking fees shuttle you to and from. We hooked up for the Minneapolis SX last year with local kid Yogurt and he was an excellent guide/host. Showed us the ins and outs of the night before and day of the race.

I attended the San Diego supercross and the Hotel where I stayed took me to the stadium. Afterward I waited until most of the crowd filed out and hailed a cab at the stadium. I had a cell phone on me just in case there was not a cab there. There was 4 of us and it cost only 10 bucks to go the 4 miles to the hotel. The Hotel shuttle also picked me up at the airport and took me back, a wonderful experience without a car.

At Indianapolis the hotel we're staying in is attached to the stadium. Don't even have to walk outside to get to the supercross.

New Orleans is driving distance for you. There are many hotels nearby, plus the French Quarter is right there, so you can make a long weekend out of it.
