The 'PowerBlade' fits into the inlet side of the carb, splitting the venturi.
Its sole purpose is to smooth the air as it passes the throttle slide, allowing the air/fuel charge to enter the cylinder at a higher velocity, thus resulting in upto 10% more horsepower.
Primary power benefits are idle to mid range on 2 - strokes and power from idle to full throttle on 4 - strokes.
This performance product has to be one of the most cost effective ways of boosting your bikes power, with no adverse effect, the power just comes in smooth and strong.

This kind of thing would be easy to make. Don't know if it is worth 85$, but if you can make it yourself for next to nothing it is bound to be cost efficient as long as it gives even a marginal improvement... Anyone tried it?

I have the Power Now and the Power Now Plus ( fore and aft of the slide ), it made a slight improvement off bottom, however it created a hitch in my jetting. I'm betting that when the bottom of the slide gets past the blade the sudden change in air velocity throws things out of wack. I'm not sure if it is really the blade or the fact that is does neck down the carb in effect making it smaller. At near $ 200.00 for the pair, a port job is WAY better for the money.

My 2 cents.

Okay, it sounds like it might be worth trying at least. I have no intention of spending 200$ on something like this, that is way over budget and that amount of money would make it just about the most expensive thing on the engine. I was thinking about something more like 2$ to build it myself instead if people who have tried it says it works.

Good luck, the thing is a piece of art as far as quality goes.

The general consensus seems very mixed. I have searched with google now, and I have also asked the same questeon on a swedish forum. Some say it works fine, some says it doesn't work at all, some say it works on fourstrokes but is useless on twostrokes, and some say there really is a Santa. It seems there is only one way to find out how my engine reacts...

Tried it on our CRF250, same result as the CR250: slight improvement on bottom end - no where near the gains the manufacture claims. Think it's more a bandaid for bad jetting.
