59 freakin' votes out of a council seat. I am both encouraged and discouraged at the same time.

I am happy for the second and third place vote-getters, but disappointed that a certain civic group who claims to not be a political party got their mayoral, 4-year, and 2-year candidates in. It's going to be a tough couple years, but I will be vigilant and "I'll Be Back"

my brother ran for city council once. we live in a town of about 9000 people, he got nine votes. afterwards, they interviewed him for the paper and he admitted that he forgot to go vote.
