I have a 2001 kdx 220. I need to know if i can adjust my back brake lever so that it angles down at more of an angle. ?? I ride with my foot under the brake, because of the angle, and I dont have enough time usually to get my foot to the brake, so I rarely use it. I'm new to the sport. And from just looking, im not sure if changing the angle is a simple adjustment. please help if u know.

And do most of you ride with your foot above or below the brake lever?

thanks.

New model should be the same. Under the boot you will see a locknut & the shaft which you will need to hold, usually with another hex on it for this purpose.

Undo the locknut & rotate the shaft up or down as required.

PS try taking your foot off the peg when using the brake (with the ball of your foot) while seated & on the peg while standing, this tends to give more control.
