Brian, You are entitled to your opinion, but if you had all the facts in front of you I think you would be supportive. First off, I only wanted to ride once a week while the neighbors are at work for less than 1 hour(read the newpaper articles on my site). Second, it would never be open to the public as a track...neighbors started calling it a track and told the city I was opening it to the public. I don't want a public track in my yard either and wouldn't want bikes running 24/7 either. I'm sure you ride your bike on the street when you jet it or tune it....is that any different than testing it if you had 2 acres of land(110 ft by 851 ft deep) instead of the streets? I went to a city council meeting last week and now have the support of the city to use "with good judgement" and the city does not want to be involved in this dispute. Have talked to the neighbors lately and they seem to be more supportive now, they told me "we over reacted thinking you wanted to open it to the public, but if it is just you out there once or twice a week, we won't have a problem with that, just multiple riders would be an issue." Everyone is entittled to an opinion, but you need all the facts in front of you, not just reading the first post and then responding. Read all the posts, read the articles and see what you think then. That is the great thing about America...FREEDOM!!! If I told you "I will call the cops everytime you start and tune your bike", how would you respond? Go to any neighborhood in America and you will see someone on an ATV or Bike running down the street, I just chose to do it on my Land that I paid for instead of the Street. Like I posted before, I did a lot of research before I bought the land and spoke with the neighbors. I have a pic on my Yahoo Profile of the trails that were on my property from the neighbors riding their ATV's and motorcycles on the land as they have done for years before I built my house, now when I get home they have been snowmobiling on my land and the adjoining 20-30 acres next to me. They race up and down the street on their Quads for 30-40 minutes on saturdays and sundays, so is this any different than what I'm doing? I don't think so. And to correct you, the track doesn't use all of my land....I have whoops that go into a 58' double...corner...68' tripple(step-up-down)...58' double...corner....six pack(21' doubles)....and that is it....not a complete "race track" To answer your question....I was thinking I'm an American that served in the military and have paid my dues to protect the Freedom of all of us...and with that FREEDOM I bought Land, built my Dream House, and built some obstacles to ride on once a week... I talked to the neighbors before I bought the Land and everything was fine...I respect their rights that is why I have tried to explain to them it was not for the public and would be used only once a week...Things got blown out of proportion and they over reacted and jumped to conclusions. We both agree they have rights and I have rights, so Let Me Ask You, Brian...is once a week while you are at work to much of an inconvience? or am I being unreasonable? Should I call the cops when they have their weekend drag races on the roads with ATV's and Bikes, and now that it is winter Snowmobiles? There is a balance of peoples rights and that is what I'm trying to accomplish. Please get the complete picture and then weigh in on your opinion....look for the complete 5-6 page story in one of your Motocross Magazines....coming to you soon.... Thanx for your opinion....
