I was going to Baja next Sunday and was going to take my XR600 87 model. It has started to give me electrical problems. I have a 04 KDX220 with Gnarly Desert pipe. My info sheet said I need to go atleast 50 miles on tank. Does anyone out there know if a KDX would be ok down in the Baja if I upped my front sprocket one tooth. Also my bike runs great and is jetted for about 3000 ft. Does anyone have any input on jetting for sea level. I believe I need to get smaller main and pilot, but not sure. If anyone has any knowlege on any of these subjects a reply would be outstanding and appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy

Check out the 2nd thread in the list of threads here in the KDX forum titled:
IMPORTANT: Read This!
Every Kdx Rider Should Read This!
There is an option on the right side labled KDX tech tips.
Under the Engine heading, click on the Carb Tuning option.
Scroll about 2/3 down the page and you will find all the information you need on how to adjust the jetting for elevation changes including how to make a chart like they show there. Here is a copy of the chart Dave uses at his site.
Your KDX should do fine in Baja!
