I got some new Renthal Handelbars and bought the new mounts for them. I got the Fat Bars. I need to know if the mounts go inward or outward. I dont know if it matters or not but gotta make sure. Thanks

I put mine on towards the outside. Thus wider gap. My thinking is this will give more support by lessening the leverage the bar has to bend. I did manage to still bend a pair of Pro-Tapers, and did not get hurt, then blew out my knee and the bike is fine, go figure. Anyway like I said out for more support, or in if you want more flex in the bars (some dealer told me this and I think he is full of it). Also good luck with the pad if its not made for these mounts. I had to cut extra out for the wider mounts.

In general if you are a taller rider you are more likely to find the forward position best, as it will give you more ****pit room and visa-versa if you are not as tall. The bend of your bar will also come into play as sweep, height, and width also effects your riding position. I would say try both just to see what suits you riding style best.

Not Offset Barmounts Right??

KXaggerator, I think YZ has mounts that are offset left/right unlike true offsets. TAG Metals makes these left/right offsets for the barmounts that need to go into solid mounts and not the rubber type. At least I think that's what he'z got.
