The questionaire is on its way Joe, thanks for the help. Many of the questions are specific to the area - so, if you don't have enough information to answer those on the questionaire, feel free to just send a note to the District Ranger telling him what you would like to see, in general for a singletrack riding area. You can even just tell him that, you appreciate the FS taking our concerns into consideration - it is definitely a refreshing change! The question of quads being added did come up and we expressed that we wanted to keep the singletrack as singletrack and feel that the quads should have widetrack. NMA has a map of the area: Click Here This trail system ties into the Little Pond Oreille system via a trail across State Land. Unfortunately, the connecting trail is in bad shape due to timber sales and the State not providing any maintenance on it. In talking with Joe Ogmundson, he will help us work with the State to open it back up. It is actually open but there are lots of downed trees so we are trying to get a workday scheduled to go clean it out. Batey Bould Trail System is a Dirtbike Only system for the most part. It is TIGHT & twisty singletrack with minimal road crossings. As the guys in our club put it - "30 miles of Batey is like 60 miles on most other trailrides". There are some great view vistas and they built trails off of the loops to the vistas. We have done full day rides from Batey Bould over to the Little Pond Oreille system, gassed up at the lodge and headed back over another loop. It makes for a very long ride but it's well worth it once in awhile.
