The trails at Bear Creek range from easy to most difficult. Luckily most of the tough sections come with an alternate route. Meaning if you go this way you will face a tough hillclimb but if you go the other way you kind of go around it. The trail is set up so that it is one continuous trail. if you ride in one direction then pay attention because to get back you ride the same trail. The place has been ridden quite a bit and has alot of exposed tree roots and rocks. I would say that it is a good trail for anyone. I have ridden there on several occasions and came across a lot of diverse groups on the trails from whole families to beginnner riders. The section from Bear Creek to Daisy State park is the toughest I have found there. Lots of rcoks and technical hill climbs but a hoot none the less. A couple of years ago I took my father over there and he had not ridden since purple and chrome gas tanks and Huskies were in style. While it was slow going at times he had no problems at all.
The only possible problem I see is that a year ago that area sustained alot of ice storm damage. I have not been over there this year so I dont know the condition of the trails. I seem to recall seeing that all of the trail systems in Arkansas were declared open and clear of debris a while back. I would suggest calling before you come up.
While your there I would suggest checking out Mike Lamberts place about 25 miles east of there. Mike has a few hundred acres with an eight mile hare scramble course, a motocross track, and an arena cross track on his property. It costs five bucks a day to ride and we recently had a hare scramble there so the trail other than being raced on is in good shape.
