Sorry for the lengthy message, but please bear with me and help out. Much appreciated.
A friend and I decided we want to get a couple of dirt bikes. Im new to this, riden a bike like once, but im positive i want to get one. After looking in the classifides and realizing it might take me longer than i want to save up for a $1500 bike, i thought maybe just get a new one. Just pay a little a month( like 100-250) and walk away with a problem-free bike. I have played with the numbers and if it pay the minimum monthly payment(w/o throwing in extra) and the maximum APR(after the deal of 3.9 runs out), i will pay it off in like 3.5 years.
I guess i have a couple of questions.
- Have any of you guys bought a new bike? Is it worth it? Might wanna talk to you about the payments and stuff.
-What kind?
He mostly wants to ride backcrountry trails and stuff(not backcountry, but like in the woods trails) But my brother said if i get one, he prolly will too, and he loves doing track.
Can i get a trail bike and ride track and still be ok? And vise versa?
I was looking at like a Yamaha yz250f or maybe honda crf250? Would 4 strokes be better for trail? Or does it matter that much?

Think 250 would be ok?
Im about 5'11", havent checked weight in a while but i have gotten kinna skinny, prolly like 130 maybe(had to go on a "diet" due to lack of funds)
I realize i probrably just have to hop on and see if i like it.
