Pichon set the fastest lap time (or the 'pole' as the Euro's call it). Everts 4th. Coppins 3rd. Don't know who Steve Ramon is. :( Tanel Leok got the 5th spot on the new KXF450. Smets down in 7th. Strijbos 10th? Really, they're all so close it isn't funny. 2 seconds b/t 1st and 10th. Tanel Leok appears to have a little brother (or relative) riding MX2.

Edit: Oh, and Brownie's a no show, no go. Word is he got fired.

Steve Ramon was '03 world 125 champ, jeez, what does a guy have to do to get recognition round here? :nener:

KXF450? Does this mean Bubba might go four stroke in the nationals? Or does he wanna beat RC on a smoker?

pichon set the 12th continous pole(going back to the lest years gps) smets won a race and everts lies in 3rd after 2 events-thats not a great start and he doesnt seem to have any great speed advantage(or any speed advantage at all), his consistancy may win him another title but its not looking too certain at this early stage.

Are people aware smets was in intensive care last year with a bad blood infection?, they were not that sure he would ever compete again. And hes 36 years old, didnt start riding till he was 18 i think. He came into this season a rank outsider with little chance of doing well in the early races.

Smets is 2nd behind pichon who had a bad race this weekend.

No problem, Nephron.
to add a little about Ramon. He is a belgian rider. And a promise for the future, although he has got the speed already. Smets is incredible with his 36 years and as Marcus mentioned his past year with illness and knee problems. He is one great guy, and i am glad he is back. He won the 2nd heat at Bellpuig last sunday, so he has his speed completely back.
Pichon had a strange 2nd heat, as he was losing speed during the race, even that he won the first heat.??? Don't know yet what was the matter with him.
Maybe somebody else knows?
At the moment 5 a 6 riders are equal so it looks like a promising year.
