On Saturday 22 August, at MX 131 Motosports Park in Martin Michigan there's a benefit ride for Mitch Dervin #858 and Jeff Ernsberger # 934. Both were seriously injured while racing. The day includes a silent auction, food/drink, and Jeff Stanton should be there also. Spectators get in free from what I've heard. If you do a search you can find more info for race fees. Mitch, and his Mom and Dad (Rick and Paula) have been in the motocross family since Mitchell was a little guy and currently races Pro A class. Mitch is my son's riding partner and best friend. Mitch airlifted to Grand rapids from Big Air and was in a coma for a week or so and now in rehab for multiple broken leg bones, etc. He's been in the hospital for almost a month now. It has been a very trying time for all of us. If you want to get out and moto, or just come and watch, it should be a great day.
