Yeah, but TFS said he went down on lap one. Sounds like he is having a tough weekend, busted his chin in practice and crashed in the main. I think it a smart move on the Alessi's part to sit out of the SX season this year.

Night 2

Final

1 Short
2 Alessi
3 Pichon
4 Pourcel
5 Leuret
6 Brown

Alessi took the holeshot but Short took over in the 2nd lap.
Alessi could follow Short for some and could hold off Pichon who made a mistake in the middle of the race.
Brown was a long time in 4th but dropped of the race at the end of the moto!

Sorry about posting the results in the title, I didn't know the race was going to be televised.

Alessi,Alessi,Alessi!!!

Stolen from TFS over at motolisten.

THIRD NIGHT: SHORT KING OF BERCY!

Probably for the first time since the appearance of the new format, the
Paris Bercy Supercross was a huge success. The Palais Omnisport was
completely full during the three nights of racing, and on the track the
riders offered a great show and confirmed that the 125 class (including of
course the 250 four stroke) has a great future in SX. Winner of the main
event each night, Andrew Short is the new “King of Bercy”.
There are not so many riders, in the history of Bercy, who dominate so
strongly the event! Winner last year of the first night Andrew Short was
amazing this weekend, and nothing could stop the factory Honda rider in
Paris! Winner friday and saturday Andrew had another great start in the main
tonight, and led the race from the opening to the last lap. “I love this
event, and I’m so happy to win it! Last year I won one night, but winning
each night for my first race with the Honda is so great! I’m happy for the
team and my new partners, I will now continue to practice hard to prepare
the US Supercross championship” said a delighted Short. Second yesterday,
Mike Alessi confirmed his potential with another second position; he had a
tough racing with Pascal Leuret, and finally got back the second spot (he
was second at the beginning of the main but did a mistake in the tunnel at
mid race) in the last lap after a pretty aggressive pass on the French
rider. “I had an opportunity to finish second and I took it, even if it was
not the cleanest move” said Mike during the press conference. “I’m young and
learned a lot this week-end, I didn’t know what I could expect before coming
here for my first supercross and it was great to race with Andrew, Pichon
and the other frenchies. I will met again the euro riders next year in the
first three Grand Prix, I think it will be a good preparation for the
nationals” added the young kid. Loosing the second place after the clash
with Alessi, Leuret also lost the third place overall. Fastest day after
day, Sébastien Pourcel finally climbed on the final podium and confirmed his
potential; he is the first frenchie overall, as Mickael Pichon broke his
gearbox during his qualifying race and was forced to retire.

King of Bercy classification: 1.Andrew Short; 2.Mike Alessi; 3.Sébastien
Pourcel

Alessi was booed out of the place and had to have security escort him out.

Good job Andrew!

Shoot, sewer rat, even Brownie wouldn't jump so blatantly over the inside berm to take out the guy. Hell, I don't even jump the berm like that when I'm taking out my brother!

That's a chickenpoopie move if I ever saw one.

I remember seeing Langston pull the same stuff on Brown a few years ago at Broom Tioga. From the vid clip it looks like Alessi could have made a clean pass if he held the inside line. I think it was pretty cool of the kid to go over and apologize after the race, he made a mistake.

Have you guys heard that the kid is going to race the first few GP's?

He should have just waited one more turn and stuffed him in the next turn where there wasn't an inside berm to make it look so blatant. Bet it's awhile before Leuret goes outside with 2 turns to go in a race again

Cheap shot. Looked ugly too. But Pichon getting all riled up over it.....now thats funny.......he's pulled a few ugly moves in his time too........both on and off the track....and his dad's had a couple of pit punch ups too, just like Alessi's dad. You'd think he and Mike Alessi would be best mates!!!!!

I'm not sure that's how Alessi wanted the move to go down. It looks like he came in too hot, panicked and went over the berm a little confused as to what he was planning. He knew by the end of the lap that he'd done bad...look at his head drop.

Alessi DQ'd from Bercy SX

Our French expatriate friend Stephan LeBig just IM'd us to say that the French motocross/supercross website www.mx2k.com is reporting that Mike Alessi was disqualified from the Bercy Supercross for unsportsmanlike behavior in the final evening of racing. After reviewing the tape of last weekend's incident, in which Alessi put a late block-pass on Pascal Leuret that resulted in the French rider crashing, the FIM decided on Tuesday evening to disqualify Alessi from the race. The event promoter, Editions Lariviere, has approved the decision. No word yet on what the new overall results will look like. Stay tuned....
