im about 5,5 to 5,6 and i ride a kx 100 its got enough power to keep up with a 250 so look in to that and if you want a used one they are pretty cheap in good condition plus they love to rev
well i just did my sports check for football and im 5 7 1/2 127 LB and i have been rideing my new 250 around and have OK control of it i layed one down at the dealer and could not get it up so i was working on picking it up all summer. im new to this but i would say if hes growing fast wait it out for a 125 i grew 6'' in a month so thats why i would recamend it. but at 5 7 i can barly have both feet firmly on the ground
I recommend a KX100, it not only has the big wheels as the CR Expert, but also the bigger engine. It's as close as you get to the 125's, and im sure he's too big for the 125. I suggest the Kx100, it'll last him longer, and get him even more ready for the 125.
IMO, the biggest difference is that the KX and RMs have a power valve for the exhaust. That helps smooth out power delivery. Other than that, you'd have to be a verrrry serious rider to notice any difference.
i have to agree, especially for a 12 y/o kid. ive ridden every brand except Suzuki when it comes to 85s and i can very easily tell a difference in the power spread. either a KX or YZ85 depending on his riding style. thanx
