best way to remove broken cylinder head stud without removing cylinder?

i got the bike back together and rode it for a day or so and noticed a rattle type sound at low rpm.i was told not to worry about it and the bike makes great power,but i started noticing coolant leaking from the back of the cylinder head as well as alittle spot of oil underneath the hole where the head stay bolt goes through the head.i went to check the cylinder head nuts to see if any were loose and the one at the rear would tighten up to a point but then just keep on spinning.at that point i noticed the hole stud was loose and coolant started shooting up past the stud.i thought it was stripped but luckily it just broke in two.half is still in the cylinder and the rest is in the head.whats the best way to get the stud out without removing the cylinder?can i just tape off all the opening's and use an easy out?

I would say yes if you are very carefull, An easy out and a new drill bit for the easy out, you do not want it to wonder around down in there. Just go slow and if you have any problems, then you may have to pull it out.

It's not a very big deal to remove the cylinder,
but an ez out should work as long as you get pretty close to vertically above it.

You might as well pull the cylinder and do it right so you do not create any future problems. It is real easy . Plus the head gasket is probably shot and shoyld be replaced anyhow .

i agree with pete since its a tight area to work in and its like an extra ten mins. and you have less chance of making little problems get worse..just a thought

thanks everyone for the advice i guess i'll go ahead and pull the cylinder and do it that way
