Old school. Yes, bills pipes are damn good. Not sure how the kdx version would compare to FMF, or PC, or DG, but I'm sure it will be a well designed and well performing unit.
Its on Fleabay. I sent the seller a question and they claim its a torque pipe, so I doubt it would perform much different than my FMF Woods Pipe. I was hoping it was a rev pipe...$100 new isnt bad...unless it gets bid up.
Thats a good thread. What clip position do you run? I richened the main, but I havent touched the pilot or the clip position. I am thinking the bike would benefit from moving the clip up one notch. Im basically at sea level...600'.
My jetting would be way off from yours. I ride mostly at 5,000' plus. When I had the stock needle I ran it in the top clip position. I'm using a CGK needle now, 2nd clip position. 42 pilot 150 main.
Man, that pipe sold for $100+$15 shipping...thats a deal. I would have bid, but wasnt sure how it would perform. Im going to move the clip and see if that helps...I think the bike is starving for fuel in the mid range. I may change my mix from 32:1 to 34:1..that may help. I am running a 148 main, so it should provide plenty of lubrication at WOT.
That is true, I intended to lower the clip...just havent gotten around to that. The bike ran better with the 34:1 mix and turning in the air screw about a half turn.
