sounds pretty similar to mine which happened on 23rd january. I have a plate and 12 screws in my tibia from the ankle to about 8 inches up the leg. I spent 8 weeks in plaster then another 8 in a moonboot which is like a cast but you can take it off for showers etc. Wasn't allowed to put any weight on it at all up untill the last 2 weeks of having the boot on. Took a couple of weeks to be able to walk without crutches. Everything has healed up properly but I still get a bit of pain where the plate is and have limited movement in my ankle so I still limp a bit at the mo. Had last visit with specialist last week and he said it was all a matter of time now and to keep exercising it etc and it should come right although I will always know it's there. The cold weather here isn't helping it to much either. Hoping to get back on the bike in a couple more months. Yours should heal up good too you just have to be patient and not push it too much and you'll be back at it.
