Brownie to ride 250 @ US Open & 1st 1/2 SX

:eek: Brownie's gonna ride a 250 next weekend at the US Open & run a 250 for the first half of the SX season, 125 east the last 1/2. First of all--I don't recall seeing ProCircuit recently in the 250 class, and find that interesting. Second, WTF? Why would he split the season like that? For what reason? To cop out and take the pressure off himself to win a championship? What's this guy doing? How's that going to benefit ProCircuit? Somebody clue me in here. :think

The last half of the 125 season includes the entire 125 East championship. The 125 East SX championship starts in late February, in Atlanta. If Brownie does well in the first 5 250 rounds, you can bet your *** he'll do the entire 250 series.

Running the 250 events the first part of the season will give him plenty of seat time to prepare for the 125 east. I doubt he will make that great a showing in the 250 class. He raced the 250s for years and was doing good to run top ten. He may be a threat to win the 125 east though.

Not official yet, but he has mentioned that he may ride the KTM 125SX in the east for 2002.
