Buying 1992 YZ250 with original piston - is this bad?

Congrats...nice bike...you need new tires and perhaps drop in a new piston and or rings and clean the powervalve, tranny oil,coolant, greese shock, steeringhead, linkage and swingarm bearings etc asap if you dont want to waste money in the long run! Good luck

Actually the tires are better than they look in the picture - I noticed they looked kinda shot in that pic but they're at about 80% - plenty left for the riding I do. They'll probably last me this season. Thanks for the advice! :cool:

I will post a ride report as soon as I get it out. It's still in pieces in the garage right now - waiting on wheel bearings. That and I'm away on courses for work all week. I live in Alberta so it's -10 (C) right now and snowing off and on - the weather is very frustrating. You just start to think spring is here, it hits +10 and sunny for a few days - then it drops 25 degrees and starts snowing the next day...

You guys will be the first to know when I get her out for a rip :)
