I have a 1993 RM-250. I just had the seals and bushings replaced, as well as stiffer springs. I have the compression dampers turned all the way in, but I bottom on medium jumps.
Can I add a few cc's of oil through the pressure relief screw holes as a quick fix? Would a thicker oil help?
I don't want to revalve just yet. Just looking for a quick fix. I just need a little more dampening.
10mm is about 10cc. You have to know yr start situation/oil height.
Also close yr clickers all the way, to see if that is working(comp clickers i mean), before you add oil.
Get a feel how the reaction is with fully closed and fully open clickers. Maybe you have a damping problem more than a spring problem.(the oil height is considered spring related) By closing the clickers the shimstack does more of the work with lower shaftspeeds.
