I've been quoted a Canadian price of $4,999 for a 2001 KDX 220 (MSRP $5,799). Is this a reasonable price or is there still some negotiating room? On top of the price is $285 Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and $69 for some kind of paper work. Are these negotiable? I've always negotiated the PDI and other charges when I've bought a new car so I would hope I could do the same with the bike. I'm not sure if prices are affected regionally but just for the record I'm located in Alberta. Thanks for the help.
I paid $5450 in 98 including GST and worked a deal with a local dealer last year for a fellow in Cow Town for $5500 including GST. I suspect I could work the same deal again. If you're interested let me know and I'll talk to the local dealer then hand things over to you.
Some place like Blackfoot should be able to offer up a bike at $5500 including GST.
You'll need to drive about 3.75 hour north to pick-up the bike.
Could you tell me the name of the dealer you worked that deal with in Calgary. I've been dealing with Blackfoot so far but they don't seem willing to deal that much on price. They have a new 2001 220 and a slightly used 2000 220. I'm not sure which one I'm going to go with.
Dealer is in the Edmonton area not Calgary. You won't likely find many people willing to deal on KDXs this time of year. Let me do some checking around.
Fire off an email my way and we'll take it from there.
I bought a 2000 kdx from cycle works in June of 2000 for $5800,
this price included all taxes, helmet, fox pants, fox boots, goggles, gloves and 4l of oil. the bike acually cost me $4700.00. shop around you might find a great deal like this one, my wife helped with all the bartering.
