Cannondale need help

I had two very nice Cannondale 440's I sold to a guy in New York .... but I didn't have the certificate of origin and he said he needs them to get them on the road....any suggestions.....could I get help from the Cannondale mfg. headquarters? anyone know how to reach them? I have owned many many dirt bikes and have never needed the certificate of origin for anything......any advice would be greatly helpful....I could say heck with it , it's not my problem anymore .....but I am not that kind of person.....I would like to help the guy. thanks

I doubt the cannondale headquarters would have any paperwork you need if you could even find them. Here in Wisconsin the paperwork origonates at the dealer and my guess is that is where you will need to go.

In NY you can apply for a 'lost title', bring the VIN# to the DMV, they will do a check on it,(lost or stolen), if the numbers come back clean they will title it.
