First a little bio, 40 yrs old, 250 lb. active duty military(22 yrs).

Injury report: ACL reconstruction(both knees), 4 scopes(2 each knee), Rt elbow ligament reconstruction, blown Rt bicep muscle(no repair), 2 month post op appendectomy.

Current bikes: 2002 Roadstar, 1977 DT 400, 2000 YZ 250, 1991 PW50(Building for my daughter(10 mos. old) All bikes Yamaha.

I'm still riding, just keeping adding more protective gear. Looking for any safety tips from older riders on protecting the body. The body may get older but the mind stays young.
PS: The knees are shot again, just make sure I always have my braces on them when I go in the dirt.

I really suggest a neck collar. I use a PCS one and don't even notice it while riding.

Where are you stationed, now?

Since you're active, you may not need it, but I've found suspenders keep me from mooning all the fast guys as they lap me.

Stationed in South Carolina, don't need the suspenders yet. Not sure I'd be comfortable in the neck collar, just started wearing a roost deflector, not used to it yet.

No trails, but a decent track, well prepped, safe rolling jumps that are still fun.

We should be there before noon in a Funmover with white trailer.

(Oops, sent this from Michelle's computer....but this is Gomer)
