i searched in the forums and online, but couldnt find a definate answer. so figured id ask.

im cleaning my carb out. i have it all pulled apart, all the jets etc are out and cleaned, my question is.

can i put the carb itself in the carb cleaner (the gallon tank with a cage) or is that bad? i dont know if there are rubber parts internally that will be affected by this. or if its ok!? let me know.

all plastics and rubber seals are taken out that i know of (yes i have manual). just lookin for a definative answer to this.

thanks

Since you said that all rubber parts had been removed, then yes, you should be ok so far, but remember to use some compressed air to blow out all passages prior to assembly and dont forget to put all your screws back to factory spec. To take it to the next level, after you're done, put carburetor in a plastic bag to prevent any foreign particles from entering your carburetor.
