carb porting

01 kdx 220. fmf kg30, air box mod. want more top end, will going to 35mm carb port give more top end? what will it do to the bike power wise? thinking of doing cylinder port too, but wanted to start cheap and do the cylinder and head later. Will the carb and head mods take away the 220's great low end? Do lots of trail and some mx riding. thanks for any help.

1. Yes. More top end.
2. It will make more (power).
3. Take away? Not if it's done correctly.
