Bike runs great on top end, but loads up at idle. I have a very good idea that the problem is the needle valve seat, or some part thereof.
Carb has been cleaned numerous times and no wear shows on needle valve or seat. I have even purchased a new needle valve and lightly sanded the seat with emery cloth in hopes that it would help, but no luck.

I purchased the bike used and it has dripped fuel from the overflow tube at the bottom of the carb since I got it. The carb is spotless , the float level is set to specs, and the floats don't appear to be taking on fuel.

It appears that the needle valve seat is a separate part from the carb housing, but the service manual says replace carb housing if there are any signs of wear on the seat.

QUESTION -

What options do I have? Do I have to replace the whole carb just for a seat? Is there a repair for this problem? I would appreciate your advice.
