I wouldn't count out Brown..... Brownie body slammed on Friday Practice and took a trip to the E-Room. He was not 100%.

Also, did you catch Reed doubling into the Triple where Byrne was laid out. The red lights/yellow flags were out. That's a serious no-no according to AMA rules.

When the Brownie camp went to Duke Finch after the race, he said that Reed would be given the win and the points, but not receive the AMA purse money. No protests would be allowed.

Why wouldn't they be allowed to protest? The AMA purse is insignificant, the points are what matters. Is the AMA (Duke Finch ) playing favorites? What's up with that?

I wondered how many people caught that Heywood. The first lap Reed got in front of Brown he doubled in and opened a pretty good gap. Don't think it mattered to much, looked like browns arms were pumping up . Saw several times on the triples where he would pull a hand off the bars and shake it like he was trying to get the feeling back. Saw RC doing the same late in the 250 main

I'm putting my money on Reed

This may be a biased view (of course!).
Brown and Langston are not going to be pushovers, but I have no doubt that Reed will be the man to beat. The guy has the skill and determination to win.

2nd in the World 125 series last year (in his first year). He also beat Pastrana in Sydney Aust. during the 250 round of the Supercross Masters last year.

He may be an unknown to you guys, but I've been watching him win in Oz for years.

Yep on the 250's. Indy was Reed's first "race" on a 125 class bike ever. He's always competed on 250's.

I think the east should shape up well. Langston turned the fastest laps of any 125 guy last week, so he should contend for wins as long as he can keep his clutch together. Reed is mighty impressive and a huge future star. I really can't wait for the outdoor season to start for these guys, I get so much more pumped over the Nationals.

Correction

Your right Battered Sav. My mistake. Reed came second in the 250's not the 125's. (I actually knew that, but my brian and fingers didn't communicate properly)

I was more impressed with Reed's performance in the 250's, where he was pretty much on the pace, 44 points in a couple of races ain't bad at all.

Then again, although many yanks don't realise it, Reed hasn't come from nowhere, he's no rookie, he's been riding for ages and came 2nd in his first season of World 250 MX last year, the fella has talent. I just wish he would have gotten a 250 ride.
