are you going to Cherokee, North Carolina or will you be in the Cherokee National Forest in North Carolina & Tennessee. There is a slight difference... Cherokee NF is extends both North and South from the Smokies National Park. no where to ride in the smokies unless you bring a horse (thats fair...). Cherokee NF has many dirt roads throughout but you may need a licensed bike to ride as these are considered "roads" although most are not maintained in the winter. can't help with Cherokee, NC the city other than to say - come further west into Tennessee and there are many riding areas and tracks (most tracks are closed until March though)
