A guy I sometimes ride with just bought a new KTM and had the bike shipped directly from the dealership to have one of those installed. I haven't ridden with him yet, but I'm REALLY curious to see how it rides, and how he likes it. Another friend of mine rode it, and said it doesn't corner quite as well, but otherwise it does EVERYTHING better. I'd think it might be an asset in one of those 12 hour races or other extreme stuff....sure is a LOT of money though.

The typical ride led by Kiwi is about 5 hours long and covers no more than 20 miles of hell. It's always wise to bring rope and provision to stay the night on a hills side or stuck in the "Ditch of Doom".

Kiwi and Eddie are planning another death march soon. I just got my life insurance in place so I'm good to go.

I've got about 500 miles on mine so far and it's flat out awesome. It climbs hills and does technical stuff so easily it's sick.

It does everything as well or better than a 2WD bike. There are a number of traits that take a bit of learning to get the most out of the bike - techniques that aren't possible on a 2WD bike.

Even with as much as it costs it's easily worth it. It will make your riding easier, extend your riding life and potentially allow you to kick your buddie's asses while riding.

That was evident last weekend. Kiwi was the only one to make a very steep and soft sandy hill climb that 4 of us took a few tries at and were unsuccessful.

Don't let it go to your head mate....lol

replace 2WD with 1WD or RWD...kiwi thinks its a 4WD he has but it's not, I ride behind that thing enough to know lol

Yeah, what he said. All Wheel Drive > Rear Wheel Drive.
