Cleaning disaster, non-aluminum cleaner on bike :(

So I was washing my bike today and used this new cleaner I had, it looked like it was obviously made for aluminum. Anyways I started seeing spots forming on my forks and looked at the label where I could finally see not for use on aluminum. I don't know what to do, I rub and it won't come out so I'm going right now to look for something. Any help would be greatly appreciated

It's called Greased Lightning I believe. I got most of it cleaned off I just can't get the fork tubes cleaned. They're spotted pretty bad. I put a picture in my gallery, I'd post it but it won't let me. Bad idea to use a non-alumninum cleaner on a dirtbike that's about 60 percent aluminum

I know it's a little late BUT....
The best non-caustic cleaner on aluminum is diluted,
Simple Green or a few drops of dish soap and water.. Invest in some "green" scotch brite pads... Avoid the reds and blues, they are very very abrasive..

I know I'm probably supposed to dilute it but I've always had great luck with simple green sprayed directly on the bike and then pressure wash it a minute or 2 later. It even gets chain lube off the swingarm with ease.

Full strengh Simple Green does odd things... It leaves a haze and could start corroding aluminum...

Lol I use WD40 removes grease and oil instantly also removes water and provides a lite lubricant.

that's what I've always used but saw this and figured I might as well since I was in a rush. bad decision, simple green does rock

Car Brite has a product called blue max and it works great and is safe to use on bikes. :cool:
