Does anybody know if the KTM 300EXC uses steel plates in the clutch or aluminum plates? I was under the impression that steel plates are better, Am I right?
Thanks Little Jeff

steel plates give more flywheel effect and put fewer chips in the oil and in some cases last longer. Some say they give a smoother engagment Aluminum plates cool down faster after abuse and some say they give a more positive engagment. As far as I can tell the 300 comes stock with aluminum plates. My old riding buddy swore by the steel plates in his 200
