I just put a new clutch cover gasket on my 98 yz 125. Now I hooked up the clutch cable again and now the lever pulls harder than it used to. I used to be able to pull it i nwith ine finger now i at least have to use two and that gives my fingers a pretty good workout. What could be the reason for this? thanks

Make sure you have the proper amount of tranny oil in first. You can disconnect the cable from the clutch unit to see if the cable has any drag when you pull it, if so I would lube it up and that would probably do the trick. If everything seems lubed and oiled and there are no kinks or routing issues with the cable and you still have excessive clutch pull its time to venture into the clutch assembly. Often times worn out plates and or clutch baskets can cause extra friction making it harder to pull the clutch. Hope this helps.
