Cometic high perf. gaskets?

I've got an 01 CR250 that I'm trying to coax more low-mid
out of.

This cometic gasket kit comes with a thinner (.12) base gasket
and the other gaskets are same thickness as stock.

Has anyone used the high performance thinner gaskets?
I'm wondering if this mod would push this bike into race gas
territory.
