That's a fact.Okie, the sad thing is, it's not just the teens that think that way!
Dude, the world is not an episode of Andy Griffith.
No but I noticed you did:confused: :aj:Did anyone else notice that Elk said penal?

So if you see people looting, is it okay? Very weak argument.Seeing as many other people riding there as we did would suggest that it was ok
I have come to the conclusion that BunduBasher is anti punishment of any substance.
did you miss this bit !Now if the land owner has had an ongoing battle with the bikers, then you are out of luck, the cop is just doing his job, you got caught
"Son, you can't ride here"
"Okay Mr. Officer, I made a mistake"
"Promise me you won't ride here anymore"
"yes sir"
"Okay then, here's a loli-pop, be on your way"
If you would have acted more "prefessionally" you wouldn't have been riding where you shouldn't. :confused:I just think this cop could have handled the whole situation more professionally.
A ticket doesn't fit? I don't think he said he got cained did he? I suppose getting this ticket will turn him into an outlaw?I do believe that the punishment should fit the crime.
I'd venture to say there is probably more he failed to mention. Same old story ... police man bad for busting me. I not deserve it, I not doing nutting wrong, I not know., it not fair. Then you grow up.And, KXer failed to mention the "No tresspasing sign" !
Hey I gotta represent! ;)At least my Canadian brother spoke up for me!
Some cops will write a ticket for anything, had an officer write me up for reckless driving when I was 18 and involved in a car accident, even the driver who hit me agreed it was an accident, had some trigger happy cop who wanted to throw the book at me, had to make three trips to court to prove I was not guilty, even had to have the guy who crashed into me speak to the prosecutor in my behalf. If I had not fought this, I would have had a criminal record, all for a lousy hundred buck fine ! - Maybe it had something to do with me being on a street legal dirt bike at the time !A ticket doesn't fit?
Heck, I'd take a caning any day :pI don't think he said he got caned did he?
Yeah, he forgot to mention he is a soldier, probably knows quite a bit about "serving and protecting" ! :)I'd venture to say there is probably more he failed to mention.

Well private land is private land, but still some cops just have an attitude and sometimes non-land owners complaing just to be jerks. When I lived in Michigan, many years ago I had 8 acres and several neighbor kids would ride their quads and bikes on it when they couldn't get to the real riding areas. Several times neighbors complained and the police would arrive to ticket the trespassers. They didn't bother to find out if the complaint was from someone with a right to complain or not. I would explain it was my land and they had no right to ticket them if I didn't say so. They really didn't like that, but they would leave. I even had a neighbor call the police once when I was riding there.
