Hey,

I'm in the middle of put new crank bearings, rod bearings and piston and ring in my CR and was wondering if the main bolt on the flywheel is right or left hand thread? I don't want to just crank on the bolt before i know which way i should be turning it for sure.

If you turn it the wrong way it wont screw on surely

Reading the post I'd be pretty sure it's already screwed on securely, and needs to be removed.

I'm guessing it's RHT, but your service manual should note the fact if it is not. Hopefully you have one of those. I wouldn't recommend attempting the suggested repairs without one.

Generally if it isn't noted in the service manual I look really close at the end of the bolt and can figure it out from there.
