hi there i could use some help i changed the cdi box and it did the same thing the first one did started up ran about 200 yards and died anyone know what might be going on

someone told me the rectifier can keep blowing the cdi box is this possible and what should my ohms be on the stator wires when i crank it please let me know thank you

at least 50 volts on the stator.
there is no rectifier associated with the CDI although there are diodes inside the CDI.
sounds like a bad high voltage coil if it isnt a loose connection at the stator coil (especially check the one going to ground)
