CR250 and CR500 How are they different?

First one that says there different by 250 CC's gets a cookie. I know the frame is different but other than that? Do they use the same swing arm, shock, front forks? I guess what I am trying to find out is if 250 suspention parts would fit a 500. I am thinking about building a bike and am woundering what my options are. Thank's
