By going from 185 to 175 you are dropping the main 4 sizes. That's a pretty big change.
You are very close to sea level and your Canadian temps are probably much cooler than Pro Circuit's California testing areas.
If you think you are too rich on the main, why not just drop two sizes to a 180? Much safer, especially if your weather cools. If the bike runs stronger with the 180 than the 185, then consider going down to a 178 or 175.
It takes only minutes to change a main. On most bikes, just loosen the carb clamps, rotate the carb and pull the float bowl drain plug, and the main is right there.
Personally, I'd find a nice spot to test, where you can do a few mile loop. Warm the bike up and take it for a spin with the 185. Then put in a 180 and run the same loop. If pefromance is improved, contemplate going leaner one step at a time (178, then 175). If the 180 performs worse, put in a 182 or go back to the 185.
Keep in mind when the weather cools, you will want a bigger jet in there.
