Just looking for some help with 03 crf 450 forks. These are twin chamber showa, does the inner chamber have it's own oil supply and the outer chamber a different amount? I just bought this bike and it had a blown seal. I'm also new to this forum, but it is a very info site. any help?

hello.
I have a crf450r 04. and before that I had an 02.
the inner chamber have seperate oil and it is not nessesary to replace it every time you change the oil in the outer chamber.
I use an oil from Denicol that is called TCF made special for twinchamber forks and have on the 02 bike I used 400 ml in the outer chamber but on the 04 I use 390 ml and that works perfect.
to replace the oil in the inner chamber it is best to use the manual for the procedure.

Yes , the oil's are seperate I run 450 ml in the outter chamber. Little heavyer rider and the track I ride has many jumps. The manual dose a good job of outlining the procedure to change the inner chamber. I always use Silkolene oil with no problems.
