CRF250X Oil Burning

I have a new CRF250X that smokes a lot. At idle, just a wisp of smoke is there. When it warms up, it gets worse. At fast idle, smoke boils out the exhaust, like a cold 2-stroke. Blipping the throttle makes it even worse.

Anyone else have this problem? Owners manual doesn't give any break-in procedure. Will the problem get better? Anyone have any ideas? Very disturbing! pando @ verizon.net

If you do a search in the thumper forum under Honda, there have been other threads about the crf's burning oil. :thumb:

Our new CRF250X doesn't do that. Check your manual again, there is a break-in proceedure.
