With all you D37 guys here I thought I'd get some board time in for us Lo-Cal guys. The D38 schedule is Here Find a race that doesn't conflict with your D37 schedules then come on down and enjoy the party. Especially for the National in March, thats when all the big names will be there.

Hey Eric the dates you posted were from the 2005 schedule. Did you click the link in my post for the 2006 schedule? I think the plaster city east races are pretty good but the national at superstition will be the most difficult, I would assume.

For the D37 guys used to places like Lucerene and other Mojave spots, the races at Superstition and other D38 events are a nice change... I had allot of fun riding with the "lo-cal" guys... And that national was a blast!!! I did it last year... Desty Abbout was their, Mike Metzger was their, Hegefield was their... I had the best time... I highly recomend...

Dante, whats up man haven't seen ya around. The socal-dirtriders forum has been real slow lately. Not many people around for some reason....Anyway I have a few questions about racing D38.
What is the terrain like down there that is raced on?

I know what Ocotillo Wells is like but I heard most the areas D38 races are flat and less rocky compared to Lucerne. Lots of open fire roads like Pole line rd etc and long wash and whoops runs.

I am thinking of racing (for the first time ever) and am curious if D38 might be the right move to get my feet wet before trying a D37 race. I ride Lucerne, Stoddard, and El mirage the most so I know what to expect at a D37 race. I am just unfamiliar with the trails/areas in san diego county.
Thanks Rob

Plus the d38 races are smaller than d37 races... Less people in general... The corses are still changeling, but with out allot of huge rocks, and hill climbs with huge rocks :bang: it's like a really long play ride...
