Quote from http://www.fullnoise.com.au/ (Monday, 10th November, 2003) David Vuillemin - crowned King of Bercy After three races over three nights of Supercross competition Frenchman David Vuillemin has been crowned the "King of Bercy" for the fourth time. "I got many wins in Bercy, but for sure this one was the toughest. When I beat Mac Grath with the 250 it was much more easy than this year…. People can’t realise how difficult it was for me to beat Langston and Short who are used to race this 125 class." Vuillemin said after the race. After suffering a hard fall in his first heat "The Cobra" rebounded to take 2 seconds and a win in the final event to edge out KTM's Grant Langston who scored A 5th, 1st and a 2nd over the three events that make up the Bercy event. Heat 1 winner - the ever improving Andrew Short (Motoworld Suzuki) came in third with the 1 win on the opening night, a 3rd and 5th. Australia's Jay Marmont finished the event in 8th outright and earning some respect from the international press with 8th in his first race and an impressive 4th in the final - a 17th in heat two saw him further down the final points than he should have been. The USA took out the team honors for the second year in a row. MAIN EVENT 1) David Vuillemin - Yamaha 2) Grant Langston - KTM 3) Pascal Leurat - KTM 4) Jay Marmont - KTM 5) Andrew Short - Suzuki 6) Josh Hansen - Yamaha 7) Troy Adams - Yamaha 8) Danny Smith - Yamaha 9) Jeff Gibson - Yamaha 10) Ryan Mills - Honda KING OF BERCY Pl Rider - Race 1 - Race 2 - Main = Total 1) David Vuillemin - 2 - 2 - 1 = 5 2) Grant Langston - 5 - 1 - 2 = 8 3) Andrew Short - 1 - 3 - 5 = 9 4) Troy Adams - 4 - 6 - 7 = 17 5) Pascal Leuret - 12 - 4 - 3 = 19 6) Ryan Mills - 6 - 8 - 10 = 24 7) Mike Brown - 3 - 5 - 19 = 27 8) Jay Marmont - 8 - 17 - 4 = 29 9) Danny Smith - 14 - 7 - 8 = 29 10) Jeff Gibson - 11 - 11 - 9 = 31
