The bearings and seals were definitely smoked. The bearings spun roughly and there was coolant in the stator side seal. The only other items that need replacing on the inside is a new water pump drive shaft/gear with new bearing and the KIPS gear (the plastic one that sits above the water pump. Every seal is shot, but a full gasket kit + seals is only $70. Crank looked good, the IMS rod looked good. Piston is junk, but I scored a NOS piston for $15. The cylinder looks like it will clean up with a hone, so I had a local MX shop do the hone and pull the bearing off the stator side crank for free. I am feeling better about the motor stuff now. I also scored some other items on the cheap: Subframe = $46 Crank bearings/seals = $34 Factory service manual = $16.
