define whoops

How would you define whoops (motocross, not exclamation) to people that ddon't ride? :bang: I am writing a paper, and need to describe them, so I beg you for help :worship: :worship:

I would mention heighth, width, etc., otherwise the people you are describing them to might get a picture in their minds of an actual speedbump,(only made of dirt), which is not near as scary as a 'whoop'. You might also mention that stadium whoops have peaks, unlike our natural desert whoops which have rounded tops, but generally un-even spacing.
