Low tension reed PN: 2P110-1
High tension reed PN: 2P117-1
The high(er) tension stops are grey in color, the low(er) tension stops are black.
His recommendation is the lower tension (black) stop with the higher tension (P117) reed for the kdx.
The higher tension reed was developed to address reed life issues...to improve said reed life.
SO...if you have used the lower tension reeds and like 'em and fear for your riding enjoyment because they've been 'improved' and maybe no longer available..take heart!
The lower tension reeds are still available for the DFII!
BTW (thanks for asking) I've tried both reed types. My preference is the low(er) tension reed with the black stop. Where I want them to work best is single track woods riding.
