I am interested in starting to race up at my local track pretty soon, and I was wondering what class I would be in. Also I would like to know what the other classes are and about what skill level they are. Thanks

C is novice/beginner.

B is amateur

A is pro

Since this is your first time racing you should start out in the c class. You can always move up a class but you usually have to petition to move back a class so start out in the slow class.

Collegeboy (16-24 yrs) or 125 Beginner (1st yr riders). Those would be the classes you would be best sutied to your needs.

Yes, if there is a beginner class, run that.

In this part of the country there is no more beginner classes, everyone has to start in novice.

I would be wary about Collegeboy or schoolboy classes. Around here those classes are faster then the b class.

it all depends on how well you can sandbag

haha i hate sandbaggers. in the 125 BEGINNER class there were people racing as fast as the b class riders. this was just a local track so you werent forced to move up. that is also why i recommend findind an ama sanctioned track.
