Here's an "Atta Boy" for Dirt Bike magazine! It has nothing to do with editorial content, features, pictures, or whatever. It's not what you'd think.

The mag came in a plastic wrapper! No more torn covers! I like it! :)

You too, Justin? I used to really look forward to getting a new DB or DR, but now they seem really weak. Plus, anything good in a new issue will have already been posted by a left coaster(j/k) and discussed in depth by real world people. It seems they are just trying to sell aftermarket (advertiser) parts you may not really need. They just can't compare to DRN!

The only subscription I have right now is to Dirt Rider. The only reason it is still going is due to there own problems. They keep screwing up so they keep extending the subscription. I can handle that. I buy Racer X every month, Transworld about every month, MXA about 10 times a year, but only pick up Dirt Bike about 4 times a year. Maybe I'll buy one tommorrow, its been to long since I saw a good trail ride.

From what I hear DRN will be buying Dirtrider soon, sorta to make it legit, and stop the confusion, besides the Dirtrider guys are getting tired of being asked if they are the dirtrider.net guys :D

I hope all of you get your AMA magazine

I noticed it too, XRPredator! Opened up the mailbox, and thought it was a catalog or something. Whoo! DirtBike in a plastic wrapper! Very cool, especially since last month all I got of my DirtBike magazine was the cover! Not torn, in perfect shape, but JUST the cover. :think

After almost 4 years of getting Dirt Rider in the mail for free, I finally received a subscription renewal notice.

I don't think I'll be renewing. Thanks for the free issues though, guys. :)

Yep they finally stopped sending Dirt Riders to me also. Maybe they did some work at subscriptions. Hey, for the longest time you couldn't beat the price:)

Crap, something else you gotta do (pull the plastic cover off) before you throw it in the bottom of the bird cage.:scream:

I wish my dirt bike mag had a torn cover, instead both it and MXA hardly ever arrive! i got intouch with them and they will send them on but its a big pain!

i even got two copies of the issue of MXA which decribed the crf-450 as a garbage scow! does anyone want the extra one?

i dont think i will be renewing!

later

I liked this month's issue of Dirt Bike. I just got it today and already I've read an epic tale of dirt bike thrashing, a CCE vs AMA editorial, and they've already mentioned Super Hunky's name again this year. Now that's got to put a smile on your face even if you don't care about 125 mx bikes (I realize lots of people do care). So what if every issue doesn't get a Pulitzer Prize. Getting DB in the mail puts a smile on my face every month. Now if Rick was to do a guest editorial from time to time....

its funny you guys mention that mag, because i was reading my step brothers today and i couldnt figure out why it was in a plastic bag. that mag is ok but think that if they get their writers to use some better words it would make the magazine a little more reader frinedly.ill get the mag from him tomorrow and ill enter in some quotes so you can see what i mean. i just remember when i read the article about the mods they did to the bikes to make them better they had the little captions on the sides of the pictures and they used really big words that i had never even heard of. its like a vocab lesson and it drives me crazy. another thing is that the magazine spent the time having all the mods done and i couldnt find a price list like the other magazines do where they list the mod and the price and then a total. maybe i just didnt look hard enough but i didnt see anything. also their write up about each bike was quite short. well that is just my opinion, dont take it to heart its just what i noticed from reading the magazine.

Only mag I'm getting now is the AMA one, just wish it had more "Dirt" in it

No doubt.. It has looked like a HD and Indian advertisement lately.

You ever seen that t-shirt that has a Harley sitting at the bottom of a lake with a chain attached to it connecting it to a boat. The caption reads "Functionality before style"

Gotta love that. :p

I'm just jealous cause I can't afford a Harley.

What about the Jan issue of Dirt Bike, the headlines are talking about the YZF 450. You flip to the article and it's a bunch of speculation of what the bike should be.:uh:
