Just one story? Well, the best one for me had to be the parade lap for the team harescramble. I was chase riding and the first thing I saw was Mikeb and his KDX buried up to the front axle in the creek. Then came the uphill log crossing where Gomer's kid was stuck and chainsawing away at it with his rear tire. A dozen riders were waiting at the bottom for the trail to clear. I blasted up an alternate line over the log and helped Gomer's kid then had the perfect view of Bundubasher nailing a tree with his DRZ. He really lived up to his screen name that day. Finally there was the uphill off-camber trail through the trees that led up to the GP track. About half-way up a YZ400F was stalled out. Ol' taraker didn't look too happy when I pulled up behind him. Next thing I know he goes crashing down through the briars muttering something about not having difficult trails like that in Texas. Last years MWSF was definitely a memorable event. Unfortunately due to various factors, way beyond my control, it doesn't look like I'll be able to attend this years event. :(
